I have installed Fedora, reporting this for comparison purposes (I
intend to reinstall Ubuntu when this bug is fixed!)
1) Performance in 3d games is far better -- 50fps in bzflag with all
options turned on, as opposed to 15-20 at lower quality settings in
Intrepid.
But!
2) Some users report hanging X on startup
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=469292). I have
experienced X crashes occasionally, locking video/kbd/mouse though ssh
access is still available, usually when running bzflag but also on power
resume (which, btw, works fine for me on Ubuntu.)
3) Many users (esp. 64-bit users) are still reporting slowness.
