[Bug 304070] [NEW] [Intrepid] snort keeps segfaulting

snort version 2.7.0-19ubuntu1
libc6 & libc6-i686 version 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu7

A few days ago I noticed that snort was segfaulting regularly, even a
couple of seconds after being restarted (or reconfigured with dpkg).

Those are some of the lines logged in syslog :
Nov 29 01:51:53 athos kernel: [42591.280920] snort[7405]: segfault at 1e7 ip b7d5229b sp bffea6ec error 4 in libc-2.8.90.so[b7cdb000+158000]
Nov 29 22:56:32 athos kernel: [118470.066614] snort[19307]: segfault at de ip b7bbf29b sp bfd5633c error 4 in libc-2.8.90.so[b7b48000+158000]

Unfortunately, that's all I have. I couldn't find anything else in my
logs.
