Hi,

I had a list of updates which Ubuntu 8.04 suggested me. I just installed
them. Meanwhile there were few power outage and I had to recover certain
partitions. But I could finally install all the necessary updates.
Suddenly the Nautilus error started popping up. I'm not able to see the
desktop menus. All I could see is my desktop background.

Luckily since I remembered certain shortcut keys I assigned to media
player, I could still play songs, but I'm not able to see the menus
anymore.

Is there a way to fix this problem other re-installing the complete OS?
Please let me know.
