Yes, it is not a dependency, but that error window show up even if sounds
are not activated (as default).

At first I didn't notice why such error (the sounds was not activated), and
that error window is annoying.

It would be better if you could find a way to stop Specto to look the sound
file until the sound is activated.

Then anyone will find out easily why that error and if Ekiga is not
installed look for another sound file.
