Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-dev-tools

Make it possible to change the directory used by pbuilder-dist (~/pbuilder by default) without editing the script, perhaps by using a new global variable (ie, setting it in ~/.bashrc). The reasons for this are that just changing /usr/bin/pbuilder-dist:
 - This change would get lost with the next update.
 - The user needs to be in the admin group, and edit the file with sudo.
 - On multi-user machines it could make problems (there can be only one configuration).
