Sorry, I overlooked the Ubuntu specific changes. These should be included:

ndiswrapper (1.8-0ubuntu2) dapper; urgency=low

  * Stop depending on ndiswrapper-modules - we ship the module in our 
    kernel package.

   - add /etc/ndiswrapper (ubuntu #13809)

Merging other changes are trivial, except 1.8-0ubuntu2. Someone with
proper knowledge should look if that change can be dropped or not.
