At this moment java-gnome packages can't be fully installed in Edgy.
Also some available packages have released new versions.
This libraries:
libglib-java, libcairo-java, libgtk-java, libgconf-java are installable, and are up to date.
libgnome-java can't be installed, has an old version.
- libgnome-java depends on libgnome-jni
- libgnome-jni can't be installed because it depends on libgcj7 (which is wrong)
- libgcj7 does not exist. Was renamed to libgcj7-0
- Last released version is 2.12.5, current available version in repos is 2.12.3
libglade-java can't be installed, has an old version.
- libglade-java depends on libgnome-java, which can't be installed.
- Last released version is 2.12.6, current available version in repos is 2.12.4
libvte-java is not available in repos.
- Last released version is 0.12.1
libgtkmozembed-java is not available in repos.
- Last released version is 1.7.0
libdbus-java (not part of Java Gnome) is not available in repos.
- Last released version is 1.9.
- Only compatible with Java 5, an old version compatible with Java 1.4
JNI packages should not depend on any component of GCJ, but on java-
virtual-machine (and maybe Java2-runtime) which is provided by GNU GIJ,
Blackdown J2RE 1.4 and Sun Java 5. With any of this packages, the JNI
packages will work.
Java packages should also depend on java-virtual-machine and java-
runtime.
