Yes, removing the ~/.asoundrc* files worked for me.

I don't have a good idea as to how to fix this issue though, for the
broader userbase, aside from providing instructions.. Hopefully there is
a better way. :)

Thanks for the fix though, Juho. I'm glad that JACK is running again for
me!
