These problems are occuring for me with seahorse 0.8.0-1ubuntu2.

Addendum to above: When Seahorse prompts for passphrase, if you enter a
wrong passphrase, it looks like as if it was properly authenticated, and
the dialog box just goes away. The file is not signed or encrypted. It
never notifies you that the passphrase is wrong.
