I can't reproduce this bug any more either. I just downloaded the same 1Mb email in both sylpheed and evolution and sylpheed was slightly faster than evolution if anything. Please reject this bug! -- sylpheed is very slow downloading attachments from gmail.com https://launchpad.net/bugs/29854
