rhythmbox-applet has be deprecated by the author in favor of his new music-applet, this can be seen on his website http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~kuliniew/music-applet/ I noticed this has not entered the dapper repositories -- rhythmbox-applet doesn't work with new rhythmbox https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/2564
