[Bug 3397] Re: SpikeProxy using /var/cache instead of /usr/share/

I emailed the maintainer about this issue many times, but it was never fixed.   Combined with the documentation of frustration from other users, I thought the bug report was necessary.  I was also unaware of a working package because I run Ubuntu, not Debian, most of the time.  How would I have known about the fixed package?  Are you saying that it was fixed in Debian Unstable?  Maybe if the maintainer had responded to my emails, and informed me of the fix, I wouldn't have submitted this bug...
