I confirm this bug.
I downloaded the source package and indeed viewmol is not correctly compiled although the packaging process seems to succeed.

The viewmol binary can not be compiled because the file libXp.a is missing. 
The package libxp-dev should be added in the Build-Depends section of the control file.

(strangely, it is present in the debian package, why has it been removed
?)
