I confirm  the freeze in Breezy.

I also confirm the "MALLOC_CHECK" workaround.

ATM, the easiest way to workaround this bug is simply to install the
dapper version of glabels *and* glabels-data, version 2.1.1-1. (Those
packages don't depend of anything else in dapper so it's pretty safe and
a downgrade would be easy).
