[uds-announce] Have hundreds of USB flash - that don't work on Ubuntu

Hi there!

This isn't a usual support request... so I hope it doesn't register as
off-topic under your radars :)

We've got a couple of hundred USB flash drives that we want to ship to
school projects in Africa. Some of them have already been shipped. Problem
is that their firmware doesn't work with Ubuntu, and it sort of sucks since
everyone is using Ubuntu. We've tried looking up our dmesg output with no
luck and have hit a wall.

If you can help us out or at least just tell us that it's hopeless, I'll
swing by tomorrow with a free copy of the culprit that you're welcome to
keep!! :)

Error is that device firmware is constantly resetting and furthermore it's
detected as a CD-ROM.
