A while ago I posted on Techzim a guide on how to install the adobe flash
player on Ubuntu.
However you do not really need it to play youtube videos; nor do you need
any of the
strange Open source alternatives offered by firefox in Ubuntu.

Moreover Adobe flash has become one of the leading doors into your system
where one zero day attack after another are launched against you. Adobe's
extensions have become the archillies heel of desktop Linux and you
dont need to be caught in this web. There is a solution use HTML5

To enable HTML5 go to youtube.com/html5 and click on join trial.
This solution also work on other smart devices for which there is
no version of adobe flash.

NB You need to be logged in to enable this option
