Have looked more into the reported matter of battery life for
netbook/laptop users and here is the launchpad bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/760131
users reporting battery life going down from round 4 hrs to 2.5 hrs is
... scary stuff for me. I will wait and follow what happens before I
upgrade. The headaches I have with not being able to switch between
graphics cards feels like I can live with, 40% less battery life - no
thanks.
