[Ubuntu-ZW] Deploying a Web based application in Linux?

Hi guys

My group members and I have created a Hostel Management System, for
our final year project  using a combination of Javascript and PHP and
I would like to deploy our web based application on a desktop running
Kubuntu 9.10.

I am looking for any inforamtion or open-source software regarding how
to create an rpm package or gz setup file, from a PHP application.

We created the Hostel Management System using xampp and would like to
integrate xampp in a similar manner to that of OrangeHRM
www.orangehrm.com/demo.shtml, which is a open-source Human Resource
Management system which works in collaboration with Xampp.

Most people i have asked have told me it is impossible, but i know it
is possible.
