Anyone had any luck with the Econet World USB modems? They are
identified on internet as GBC Great Bird China PL68 modems and seem to
be a major headache.

Anyone knows where we can by replacements that do work in Karmic or
Lucid Beta? My own Vodafone EDGE (ZTE apparently now Huawei) seems to
have gone off market.

Any help appreciated, we can barely get these to work in Windows 7 and
not at all in (k)ubuntu...
