Dear Community Members!

Only 2 days to go before the release of ubuntu 9.10! I for one, am very
excited about this new release!

Just to let you know, the repositories are now 100% up to date on both 32
and 64 bit versions of 9.10.

To connect to these repositories, if you are using a pre-release version, or
if you would like to connect
to these repositories on release day, please see the following website for
more information.

http://www.ubuntu.org.zw/node/6

I will be downloading the disc images of the new releases on thursday, so
they should be ready to download
on our site by friday morning.

lastly, just a reminder about the release party this weekend, if you havent
confirmed your attendance, please do
so ASAP. its going to be a blast!

regards

kalpesh.

CDMA FWT internet guide

1. Generally ensure that your serial / usb drivers for your cables are
installed. (its important to know where your modem is connected USB0 or TTY1
etc.

2. I have noted that if you install wvdial generally you are able to connect
any external modem. All you need to do is to run wvdialconf, a configuration
file is saved and you can edit in /etc/wvdial.conf

3. If wvdialconf fails to see a modem, then repeat step one until you have
installed your modem on a recognizable port.

4. for those who are a bit more technical install minicom in order to query
your modem

Hope that helps
