Ubuntu and gprs connectivity

I was able to configure Kubuntu (Hardy) to share the GPRS connection my
phone uses over bluetooth (not as a modem *per se* - I did not dial up/use
AT commands on laptop). You can find the steps I took at ubuntuforums (
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6996218#post6996218)<http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6996218#post6996218>

The GPRS speeds did not impress me much either where I am (Botswana), I'd
say comparable to dialup. And the charges are expensive to the point of
obscenity (per MB). I hope Econet will have reasonable rates.
