MSI has today announced three new versions of its popular Wind U100
netbook, including a Linux version and a pink edition.

While the U100 only offered Windows XP, the operating system on the new
U90 is Suse Linux. What’s more, the cost of this version is some £50
cheaper than the original U100, with a suggested retail price of only
£269, but the size of the display has been reduced from 10in down to 8.9in.

MSI is also looking to attract an alternative demographic by offering a
bold pink version of the Wind instead of the regular black and white

The pink edition will also be £10 cheaper than the new standard version,
which will now ship with a 120GB hard disk, as opposed to the 80GB drive
in the original version and the new Linux and pink editions.

Other than these changes the spec of each machine is the same, with a
1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of memory, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a
1.3-megapixel webcam, three USB ports, an Ethernet connecter, VGA out
and an SDHC card slot.
