[Ubuntu-zh] Help: sth. about gromacs

Hi Shuping,

if you can not install the newest version of gromacs by using the
online repositories,  there are several ways to do it manually.

1. install from the source code. if it is a open-source software, you
should be able to find the source code package on the official
website. you can compile and then install it by following the
instructions usually noted in README or INSTALL files. besides, you
will need some packages to make it possible for this process. Usually,
the package generally avaiable "built-essential" fulfills the basic
requirements. and some other packages will be necessary to deal with
the dependences for the package which you want to install.

2. if some pre-compiled debian-package for this software is officially
available, one can download it and then install with type in
sudo dpkg -i <package_name.deb>
there could be some user-compiled one avaiable online, but remember,
it is better to download package only from trusted site.

3. if there are no avaiable debian-package, but some other one for
other distro such as RedHat which is more wild-supported than
debian/ubuntu. one can convert the .rpm package into .deb package by
using some tools such as alien.

4... other ways...

finally, i'd like to say it's better to have the habit, searching
online before asking questions.
