<div>Do routers die slowly/gradually? Or are they 'binary', ie either work or not. I believe the latter. </div><div>I suspect your problems may lie 'outside' the router. I experience similar problems to what you describe but my router then repairs itself, for a while, before going bad again. I do a lot of manual router reboots during the bad periods (ie daily!), then may not have to reboot for months. My 5-year old D-Link DSL 2750U router seems to be on its way out, I have checked the firmware - its the latest. My isp, Afrihost, has reset the port and checked the line, but the router drops its connection every now and again, seems worse when its been working a while and is warm. If I reboot it, the connection is restored but then it disconnects again after a while.<br>

I have been around Price Check and the array of available routers is confusing to say the least.<br>

I have two computers running via ethernet connection and also require a Wi-Fi facility.<br>

Any suggestions/comments please?<br>
