He said that a lot of people both inside Apple and its customer base was still in the mindset that "for Apple to win, Microsoft had to lose". To move forward "Apple had to remember who it was". I think the same applies to Linux (and Ubuntu) today. I know I've been guilty of slamming Microsoft and Windows at times, but this has really put the last nail in the coffin of this mindset for me. We should really remember what Ubuntu is trying to achieve, look at the wonderful things that are happening and come up with new ideas and concepts, rather than comparing Ubuntu to other operating systems (or ourselves against users of other operating systems). If we keep comparing Ubuntu to other operating systems or slamming other operating systems it will always be second or third best. How about a commitment from all to stop slamming other OS's and to focus on making Ubuntu better? Charl </BODY> </HTML>
