Yep, that's the problem that we're experiencing as well. However, when the spreadsheet is opened in Excel, the embedded object (.tif file) is "physically" there and is openable. This is why I think it might have something to do with the manner in which it is embedded more than anything else (using the Excel embed() function).<BR>

My apologies. I see now that as soon as I save the file using Calc, even leaving the format as Excel, all of the embedded objects are obviously stripped from it - thus what was a 376KB file is now only 11KB.<BR>

Not sure how to proceed with getting you a sample, given the nature of the data.<BR>

When I open a copy of the file with the embedded objects using Excel in Wine, I'm told "Cannot start the source application for this object".<BR>
