I've been using Linux since late last year so still a 'newbie'!! I've just built a new Kubuntu machine to replace my old one (K9.04). Installation went fine and additional software loaded. Both Linux machines connect to Internet OK and can 'see' my Windows machines on my network with Samba. But neither Linux machines appear under Network but I can ping either machine OK from the other. I need help in fixing this please. I think it has to do with shares. Not yet being a command line expert I will need step-by-step details. Thanks a lot Guys. Ian. </body> </html>
