Hi Marius,
I'm a bit baffled about using apt-cacher-ng. I've installed it but have no idea how to run it.

I just used synaptic to install it, and I could immediately browse to http://localhost:3142/
which explains a little bit of how to start using it.

I also found the following page through google which may help:
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-981085.html
Can you tell me how to get it running? I have a Desktop PC (I want to setup as server) & Laptop (clien?).
I also have an external USB HDD that I'd like to share for cache, but am having a problem doing that.

you can configure it by editing /etc/apt-cacher-ng/acng.conf
in there you can specify the cache folder.
I think if you cahnged somethign in there you need to restart it eg:
sudo /etc/init.d/apt-cacher-ng restart

--
<| regards
U| Marius
H| <><
Z| http://amanica.blogspot.com/
