Whatever the issue was, it's been fixed. Apart from the mirror mentioned by Anton (below) there's also ftp.leg.uct.ac.za, which I guess is great if you're in Cape Town!

Yeah been down since yesterday, change to mirror.wiru.co.za. They have a
10Gbps link.
