Jan, the whole point of using plain text is to save on data, having extra
info like fonts size and even the font type in the document defeats this
purpose, there fore as soon as you change a font size it becomes rich text
which have much more overhead. you should be able to set the default size
for plain text in Thunderbird at least, but that only affects how you view
the info.
