[ubuntu-za] New way to meet and spread Ubuntu - Thoughts?

Hi All

This is a new proposal being floated in the Community channel, What are our
thoughts as a LoCo.
Basically it proposes to use Meetup.com as a meeting platform.

My 2 cents:
A year ago there were scant, if any groups on Meetup, however that has
changed with literally tens/hundreds of groups springing up around SA or
Jhb at least. Also lots of groups are tech centred, so this might expose
Ubuntu to new peoples etc etc.
