Hi Jan,
Have not used the below, so can't advise on them
Install synaptic ( open a terminal, type sudo apt-get install synaptic )
Start synaptic
hit the search button
search for nokia
There are a few apps to try
gnokii
gammu ( CLI version )
wammu ( GTK version - uses gammu libs )
gmobilemedia ( also uses gammu libs )
If you have a BlackBerries, you can try :
search in synaptic for barry
install barrybackup-gui
Hope this helps
William

Hi Jan,
This repo has not been created for 14.04 ( latest is 12.04 precise )
What you can do is try precise in the sources.list file ( 12.04 instead of trusty 14.04 )
This ppa might not work, as it might expect some packages that are not in 14.04
William

W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/upubuntu-com/mobile/ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
