[ubuntu-za] Trusty Tahr not so trusty?

14.04 lts installed onto my Dell xps with no problems : all hardware
controls work. Simple and easy using a 2gb USB. Home folder and all other
settings from 12.04 no problems.
Only problem was the R mirror at Uct had/has not been updated to Trusty.
