[ubuntu-za] Launcher problem

Hi everyone ,

I have an interesting problem on both 12.04 and 13.04.

I launch Thunderbird from the already existing icon on the unity launcher.
But then it creates a second active icon where it then shows it's activity.
It doesn't show it's activity on the icon already there from where it is 
launched.
Why is this ?
