Hi Nico,

I think you can't install Ubuntu on the Raspberry, Ubuntu requires a newer ARM processor

Look here : http://askubuntu.com/questions/212346/can-a-raspberry-pi-run-ubuntu

Hi Wesley

I have found the Debian distro : Raspbian very light and works well

I was hoping to see a lightweight Ubuntu for Raspberry

Kind Regards

Ubuntu also seems a bit more resource heavy, for a device like the Pi. Realistically you'd want a lighter weight spin, even the vanilla debian with gnome is a hog. Try pibanglinux.org<http://pibanglinux.org> for another alternative.
