Hi All,

I hope you are all keeping well! I have some exciting news to share with
the Ubuntu Community, especially the people in Durban! :)

Permanent Venue

The company I work for has graciously allowed me to use their boardroom
and facilities for any future Ubuntu parties (installfest, release
parties, bug week etc.). We have Wi-Fi throughout the building and
plenty of shops nearby. So if you need a venue you can contact me on the
mailing list. The address is 46 Adelaide Tambo Drive (Kensington Drive),
Durban North.

ISO's

I have also asked for space on our servers for anybody that is looking
for ISO's of Ubuntu or any other distro (if we have it) they are more
than welcome to pop round with a USB stick and we can help out. Please
note that we won't be doing any CD burning as this is very time
consuming for us. I will be taking the follow ISO's I have on my
computer (listed below) in on Tuesday. You can pop in any time during
11am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

If we don't have a distro, we can download it and bring it in the next day.

New Durban Developers Group

My boss and other people involved have started a new Durban Developers
Group. I encourage all of you that are in software development to join.
Here is an excerpt from the group page:

"This group has been started in the hopes to provide a platform on which
to establish the software developer community in Durban, South Africa.
Once we have built up a critical mass of mailing-list subscribers, we
will make an announcement regarding the initial meeting, the format and
agenda, as well as other details.

If you are involved in software development and are in the Durban area,
feel free to join this group and introduce yourself on the mailing list.
We welcome comments and suggestions and look forward to greater cohesion
and networking in the software arena in Durban."

This group was started about 3 weeks ago, so the members are relatively
low (35 members on Facebook as of today).
You can join the group at the following locations:
- Google Groups: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/durbandevelopers
- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/groups/durbandevs

And that's it from me.

Questions? Reply to this thread.

Thanks and have a great weekend!
