Hi Frans & Stefano

I'm not sure this is the right way to reply so please excuse me.

Thanks for your advice both of you .  I need to save some old emails on
the web-mail site and then I will try to un-install and re-install
Evolution.
I have used it so long that I am not keen to switch to Thunderbird and
that is not simple either judging by the posts I have read on Ask Ubuntu
and Launchpad.

I will report my progress later so don't hold your breath.
