Hi Mamitina
Welcome!
Sorry it took so long to respond.
The ubuntu-za group is spread all over south africa. We have various
channels which we use to communicate. We chat on the ubuntu-za mailing
list, ubuntu-za at lists.ubuntu.com. We chat on IRC in #ubuntu-za channel
in irc.freenode.net. We also have a facebook group
(https://www.facebook.com/groups/ubuntuza/)and a web
page(ubuntu-za.org).
It is pretty much a do-ocracy. People can organise events they want
to. We have release parties and ubuntu hour and software freedom day
meetings.
We also have a meeting once a month in the irc channel. The events and
meetings are tracked on http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-za
I see there is a team in mauritius as well.
There is a wiki where you can see the older minutes of the meetings
and the monthly reports,https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ZATeam
There is also a some activity on the ubuntu forums but this is not so
popular anymore.
So there are many places to connect with us.
