Hi there

The Arduino program is expecting to find my Arduino controller connected
to USB in this device
serial.port=/dev/ttyACM0

When I ran this command :
sudo tail -c 0 -f /var/log/syslog

and plugged the Arduino controller USB cable and got this:

Mar 10 16:04:27 nickm kernel: [ 2732.128237] usb 2-2: new full-speed USB
device number 14 using uhci_hcd
Mar 10 16:04:27 nickm kernel: [ 2732.328926] cdc_acm 2-2:1.0: ttyACM0:
USB ACM device
Mar 10 16:04:27 nickm mtp-probe: checking bus 2, device 14:
"/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-2"
Mar 10 16:04:27 nickm mtp-probe: bus: 2, device: 14 was not an MTP device

how do I mount my USB device to serial port : /dev/ttyACM0 ?

Or else what must I use instead of /dev/ttyACM0 in my settings for the
program to find the connected controller

Is there a better program that I can use than System Settings that give
me better control of my devices?
Something like YAST but for Ubuntu ?

thanks for your help.

regards
Nick
