I did all as you said :

cat /etc/network/interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback


auto dsl-provider
iface dsl-provider inet ppp
pre-up /sbin/ifconfig ib0 up # line maintained by pppoeconf
provider dsl-provider

auto ib0
iface ib0 inet manual


and the removed and added networking

I am about to reboot so here goes if you hear me again it worked
