Hi Paul,

try unmounting the device on the Desktop, leave the modem in ( don't remove it ), then try connecting, see if that works

I think that the device is seen as a HD or CD rom not a modem, but when unmounted it is seen as a modem

William

Subject: [ubuntu-za] CellC ZTE MF190 7.2Mb/sec white modem

Hi there.

I have a CellC ZTE MF190 7.2Mb/sec white modem. The CD ROM mounts under Ubuntu 11.04 and it works on WinXP running in VirtualBox. However It is not visible in the Ubuntu 11.04 network connection manager. Has anyone had any experience getting this to work under Ubuntu 11.04?
