Avoid hyphenation like the plague! It makes for difficult reading in any language and endless formatting problems. Use "justified" formatting and switch off any auto hyphenation.

Subject: [ubuntu-za] Scribus Afrikaans Hyphenation

I am still going through a hard learning curve with Scribus. But we
(my wife and I) have managed to get out our first attempt at our
newsletter. (The previous editor past away suddenly and we have taken
over the technical side for the moment).

Most of the magazine is in Afrikaans and we have struggled with the
hyphenation. There does not seem to be an option to have certain
sections of text in Afrikaans and so it hyphenated Afrikaans text as
if it was English - and often with disastrous results.

Can anyone point me to a solution?

Bill
