Hey All 

I recently bought a Dell Studio, I5, 4GB ram,500GB hard drive and a 1GB radeon graphics. I have Ubuntu 11.4 64bit installed and I have no hardware issues.

Traditional, Intel has more stuff under the hood, (Like thermal shutdown 
protection) and better support.  I actually had AMD tell me that would 
not warranty a a DOA cpu because it was OEM.  Because of that I will 
NEVER buy AMD again.
