[ubuntu-za] Laptop without OS option

Hi All,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the feedback.
To clarify, I'm not looking for an inidication of a laptop's compatibility
with Ubuntu (although that is a help ;) ).
What I was looking for was to buy a laptop and not have to pay the 'Windows
tax'. Why pay for an OS I'm not going to use?
Thus far, all the sites I've checked out don't have an option for no OS.
I'd very much like to hear that I'm wrong and that it is possible ti buy a
laptop somewhere in SA without paying for Windows!
