I use Evo and exchange. I have used with a local exchange box and
currently with HMC. Mail me direct if you want anything.

Hi All

I have been following the launchpad bug #206346
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-exchange/+bug/206346?comments=all for some time now and wanted to get a feel for the problem in South Africa.

Is there anyone in the local community that has been able to get
Evolution to work by connecting to an Exchange Server? I understand that
MAPI might work, but most corporates will not enable it so I am
specifically interested in the OWA features.

If so please can you share the configuration information and the
versions of the Exchange Server.

My feeling is that this is a serious hindrance to Ubuntu being deployed
in business and the enterprise because email is simply the
communications backbone of a business and without a serious client
contender to Outlook Ubuntu will remain irrelevant.

Your thoughts/comments insights?

Many thanks
Stephen
