I'm running Ubuntu very successfully on an Acer Aspire 5332 notebook -
no proprietary drivers needed, everything just installed perfectly -
webcam, graphics, sound, wireless, card reader, the lot. I would
recommend Acer for use with Ubuntu from my experience.
