Hi Johan

AFAIK all the package managers, apt-get, aptitude, Synaptic, Ubuntu
Sofware Centre uses the same apt back-end.  So it doesn't matter which
tool you use it will download via apt-cacher-ng once configured.

Anybody with a more detailed explanation?
