I am going to give this a go: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hour
I will be at Mill Coffee house (cnr Drop and Mill Street) from 9 to 10
on the first Friday of the month.
Anybody in the area, welcome to pop by and say hi. Also if anyone
knows of a space with more accessible internet access and good coffee
I am happy to move. This quiet coffee shop has access, I am not sure
how much it will cost but will discuss prices with the owner. I will
probably be online with 3G in the mean time.
suggestions welcome too.

Wow, first I heard of the Ubuntu Hour, a great idea, inspiring :) I'll scout for some coffee shops in Durbs, bout a year ago there was one in Florida rd that offered free net for paying customers.
