[ubuntu-za] Highlighting in a list

Thanks Frans, my problem : I'm not really into writing software yet! Surely
there are such prepackaged softwares that can be applied to different
applications? It seems like a reasonable option on a toolbar? To be able to
highlight an option on an otherwise "all look the same long list".
