[ubuntu-za] mount error

When I run the following, the displayed errors occur. What have I done wrong?

mount -t smbfs //192.168.30.8/home/alf/ temp --verbose -o
username=alf,password=*******
parsing options: rw,username=alf,password=*******

mount.cifs kernel mount options
unc=//192.168.30.8\home,ip=192.168.30.8,ver=1,rw,username=alf,password=*******,prefixpath=alf/ 


mount error 13 = Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)

The username and password at 192.168.30.8 are correct.
